To be 100% safe we highly recommend using a hair dryer to soften the tape when removing tape from any surface especially if you're going over plush carpeting. The tape will soften and release very easily using a hair dryer and will not leave any residue on your floor.

If your surface has glue on it remove the glue with adhesive remover. Also, remove any dirt, dust or water before adhering the carpet tile tape.

It is recommended that a new piece of tape replace the removed piece so the adhesion is not compromised.

No, it is not recommended that carpet tile tape be used on a heated floor or near a heat vent because the material will melt.
