Carpet Tile Tape For Installation
How To Install Carpet Tiles With Carpet Tile Tape
CARPET TILE TAPE FAQ
How many square feet of carpet tile will one roll of carpet tile tape Install
Approximately 220 square feet
Can this be used on other materials other than carpet tiles?
Yes. You can use this tape to install and secure rugs, vinyl, laminate, wood, carpet, rubber, artificial grass, athletic sports turf, parquet, chair cushions and exercise mats.
Will this damage the flooring I am installing to?
To be 100% safe we highly recommend using a hair dryer to soften the tape when removing tape from any surface especially if you're going over plush carpeting. The tape will soften and release very easily using a hair dryer and will not leave any residue on your floor.
What type of surfaces does this stick to?
Adheres to carpet tiles, rolled carpet, wood, tile, laminate, concrete, artificial grass, marble, vinyl planks, sheet vinyl, rubber leather, stone, glass, wool & fabric.
How long will it last?
The longevity depends on several factors, including the surface type, foot traffic, environmental conditions, and weight of the carpet tiles or rugs.
Indoor Use: On a clean, dry surface with moderate foot traffic, it can last 7+ years without losing adhesion.
High-Traffic Areas: In busy commercial spaces, it can last 5+ years.
Extreme Conditions: High humidity, temperature fluctuations, or exposure to lots of moisture may reduce its lifespan.
For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dust-free, and dry before application.
Can I use a strong/commercial vacuum to clean my carpet tiles?
Yes. The carpet tile tape is extremely strong and durable and will keep your flooring down on the floor. Also, great for robot vacuums.
Will this work well in below freezing areas?
Yes. This will hold up well in temperatures between -40°F to 176°F (-40°C to 80°C).
How thin is it?
Very thin (only .011 in / .28mm). You won't notice hardly any height difference in your installed material.
Will this work on rough surfaces?
Yes. This will hold up well on rough surfaces.
Will this damage the hardwood floor I am sticking the tape on?
No. If you want to take extra precaution you can use a hairdryer over the tape which will soften and release easily and will not damage or leave any residue on your floor.
Can the tape be torn by hand?
Yes, but it's much easier to use a utility knife to cut the tape.
What is carpet tile tape made of?
Silicone composite materials.
